In the last edition of the Ladder Challenge it was Jimmie Foxx defeating Steve Grogan with 67% of the vote, allowing Double X to retain his spot at #73 on the RBSF Ladder. This week’s Challenge showcases a pair of Boston champions, with Red Sox ace Curt Schilling (#61) trying to move up a rung by taking on Patriots great Willie McGinest (#60). Schilling was invaluable in helping the Red Sox "break the curse", then winning it all again 3 years later, while McGinest always came up big when the games mattered most, helping the Pats earn 3 Super Bowl titles in a 4-year span. With a pair of championship, big-game performers doing battle, this week is a tough call...but I'm going for the player who spent the majority of his career here, and also earned one more ring in the process. My vote this week is for Willie McGinest, but who has your vote in this week’s Ladder Challenge? (And remember, most votes in the comments section is the tie-breaker, so be sure to voice your opinion!)

To some degree this is as easy 12 years vs. 4 years....that is simply too much to overcome without there being a huge discrepancy in performance, rings, or somebody is from Boston....none of those gets Schilling over the top here.
Big Willie gives Big Schill his first loss in Challenges this week.
Willie gets the win.
And the Pats should re-sign him so he can retire as a Patriot. He has said he wanted to finish his career in New England.
