Ladder Challenge: Foxx vs Grogan

In the last edition of the Ladder Challenge it was Bruce Armstrong easily defeating Nick Buoniconti with 90% of the vote in a battle of Patriots greats, retaining his spot at #77 on the RBSF Ladder. This week’s Challenge finds Red Sox slugger Jimmie Foxx (#73) trying to hold off the challenge of Pats longtime QB Steve Grogan (#75). Although Grogan is a personal favorite of mine, and played as hard as anyone at any position the Patriots franchise has ever known, the excellence of Foxx is simply too hard to ignore here. This is a battle of great for a short time (Foxx) against very good for a long time (Grogan). I'm going with great. My vote this week is for Jimmie Foxx, but who has your vote in this week’s Ladder Challenge? (And remember, most votes in the comments section is the tie-breaker, so be sure to voice your opinion!)

As much as anything, I can't see Foxx falling to 0-3-0 in Challenges with a loss this week.

Love Grogan, but I'm going with my brain over my heart this week.

Pretty impressive stats for a guy who only played 7 seasons with the Sox.

As much as I love Grogan and hate the Sox this seems pretty easy. Double X.
