Delonte West Coming Back to Boston

This just in from Steve Bulpett of the Boston Herald: "Delonte West is coming back to the Celtics. A league source confirmed moments ago that the former Celts guard is prepared to sign a free agent deal with the team. West was drafted by the Celtics 24th overall in the 2004 draft and played in Boston for three seasons before being traded to Seattle as part of the deal that brought Ray Allen to the Green. On February 21, 2008, West was involved in a three-team deal that sent him to Cleveland to play with Lebron James. Accordingly to a source, West will sign a non-guaranteed contract and will be on hand when the team begins camp this fall". I love it.

As of now the Celtics would have 16 men fighting for 15 spots....with both Michael Finley and Brian Scalabrine unrestricted free agents who are not expected back.

The 16 man roster......
Centers
*Kendrick Perkins
*Shaquille O'Neal
*Jermaine O'Neal
*Semih Erden

Power Forwards
*Kevin Garnett
*Glen Davis
*Luke Harangody
*Tony Gaffney

Wings
*Paul Pierce
*Ray Allen
*Marquis Daniels
*Von Wafer

Points
*Rajon Rondo
*Nate Robinson
*Delonte West
*Avery Bradley

Obviously some of these guys can play multiple positions, but just something to give you an idea of what we're looking at. Appears to be outstanding depth.

Can't believe Cleveland didn't resign him just to annoy LeBron James since Delonte is dating his mom.

Perhaps they just got tired of trying to make sense of his prison tatoos.
