After sitting the starters and losing their regular season finale to finish 50-32 for the regular season, the Celtics playoff position is now set. As the #4 seed in the East the Celts will take on the Miami Heat, the #5 seed, in the 1st round of the playoffs. Clearly the regular season has been a disappointment for the C’s (the went just 27-27 after beginning the season 23-5) but luckily everyone’s record gets reset to 0-0 once the playoffs begin. Boston still as the same starting 5 that won the title in 2008, and Rasheed Wallace (a colossal bust in the regular season) was brought aboard to help win the postseason, which he still has the opportunity to do. A strong showing in the coming weeks and the Celtics will be able to eliminate memories of their often frustrating saunter through the regular season. Now the big question is, can they find a way to stop (or even slow down) Dwayne Wade? If not the Celtics fans will likely see a 1-and-done playoff run as a fitting end to a wasted season. I’m picking the Celtics take out Miami in 5 and at least give us hope that this year will be remembered for something positive. Or, for that matter, will be remembered at all….because that was certainly a forgettable 4 months of basketball they just submitted.

I'm definitely hoping that the post-season C's are worth watching--as someone recently said here, it's been a hard season to watch (at least since KG got re-injured). At least we swept the season series against these guys!
