As always, there is plenty to talk about in this edition of Mid-Week Miscellaneous.....Just when the B's get good news about the return of Milan Lucic and the Patrice Bergeron injury not being as severe as originally thought, Andrew Ference appears lost for 6 weeks with a groin injury.....Tony Allen has been quietly playing some very good ball for the Celts.....If all 6 Red Sox starting pitchers stay healthy through the spring, who heads to the bullpen?.....I'm voting that Chris Baker scores a TD this weekend.....Does talk of Pete Carroll leaving USC have anything to do with any potential NCAA violations they are about to be busted for?.....these items and anything else on your sports mind are open for discussion here in MWM.....

The Bruins injury woes are almost to the post of being utterly ridiculous this year. If they can get everyone back for post-Olympic play and stay healthy down the stretch we may actually have a shot at making something happen.
TA has been very good going to the hoop. I've always thought he was effective when he wasn't dribbling and his "shut down defender" title simply wasn't true, so it was unfair to expect it out of him.
What is more likely, that 1 of the 6 Sox starters is injured on opening day or traded prior to it?
Somebody needs to pick up the Wes Welker slack...I'm voting Baker.
Although everyone seems shocked that Pete Carroll would leave USC to take the job in Seattle let's remember that Pete Carroll was an NFL guy all along...it's not surprising he'd want to return and prove folks (i.e. the Jets and Pats) wrong. Will be interesting to see if one of the USC alum coaching in the NFL (Jeff Fisher, Jack Del Rio) take the job.
That Ovechkin non-fight was hilarious.
