Though I don't agree entirely with MD's concerns over Rasheed's shots (he is a real good shooter, long distance and short alike), I am worried about the Celtics insistence on being a "live by the 3, die by the 3" style of team... especially with all of the weapons we possess.
In the game the other night against the Magic, we had several opportunities to come back, and eventually close out the game, and we didn't. There were PLENTY of opportunities.
Even Ray was missing 3s, Wallace, and basically everyone ('cept House). If you are this kind of reliant on the 3 type of team, you will go down in the Playoffs, as it is a 2 month extravaganza these days.

There were also loose balls in that game, that no one would dive for, KG included (in the 3rd Quarter)... maybe it is time to switch to full blown knee pads in the Patrick Ewing vain, instead of just the traditional "sleeves."

In any event, we are digging ourselves a nice hole here.
Despite knowing it is not near time to hit the "panic button," and we would still make the Playoffs (if they started today), AND that if you presented the generic Boston Sports Fan with any of our current teams predicaments in '96 or even '98, they would be more than happy - we are putting ourselves (with each loss) in a position where we will need to win 50 of the last 60 games to have the Playoff position/Home Court deep into the postseason that has been made so apparent in the last couple years.

I still love the team (Obviously) just saying, we aren't even in the Top 3 of NBA teams right now, nevermind the best.
