Ladder Challenge: Foxx vs Brown

In the last edition of Ladder Challenge it was Bruce Armstrong defeating Dustin Pedroia in a tie-breaker to hold his spot at #77 on the RBSF Ladder, and drop the Sox ace to 0-3 in Challenges. In this week's match up, Patriots great Troy Brown (#73) tries to move up the maximum 10 spots by taking on Red Sox slugger Jimmie Foxx (#63). Although the 1938 A.L. MVP was better at his peak with the Sox, the 3-time Super Bowl champ with the Pats played more than twice as long here (15 seasons to 7) and thus Troy Brown earns our vote this week. So who has your support in this week's Ladder Challenge? (and remember, most votes in the comments section is the tie-breaker, so be sure to voice your opinion!)

Brown is the only player with 4 Challenge wins, and will become the only player with 5 if he wins this one. That can be largely attributed to my accidentally leaving him off the Ladder when it originally went up. A win here and Troy will be just about where he deserves to be.

This is the first Challenge of a Patriot trying to knock off a Red Sox since Richard Seymour edged Dwight Evans back in January.

If Foxx's entire career counted he would easily get our vote, but only his time in Boston matters as far as the Ladder is concerned.

If Brown wins this matchup does that give him "BINGO!"?

On the opposite end of the spectrum there are 3 athletes at 0-3-0....

Josh Beckett
Tom Brady
Rocky Marciano

Not bad company at least.
