Sox Report: Game 116 vs Rangers

The Red Sox (66-49) have now won 4 of 5 and look to extend their lead in the Wild Card standings tonight when they meet the Rangers (64-50) in Texas. With Kevin Youkilis sitting out his 5 game suspension, others have started picking up the slack for Boston. Jason Bay, Mike Lowell and JD Drew have all hit the ball better over the past week than they had in quite some time. Hopefully they will be able to provide enough offense today to give Brad Penny (7-6, 5.16 ERA) some breathing room. The Rangers will counter with rookie southpaw Derrek Holland (5-7, 5.04 ERA) the phenom that Nolan Ryan deemed untouchable in Roy Halladay trade talks. Let's go Red Sox!
