Sox Report: Game 114 vs Tigers

The Red Sox (65-48) attempt to complete a 4-game series sweep of the Tigers (59-54) today when the teams meet in an afternoon battle at Fenway. The Sox send Clay Buchholz (1-2, 5.33 ERA) to the mound to try and finish off Detroit, while the Tigers will counter with A.L. strikeout leader Justin Verlander (12-6, 3.45 ERA). A win would certainly help keep the good vibes going for Boston, something sorely needed after the previous week's disappointments. Let's go Red Sox!

Seems like a weird day to give Pedroia a day off since Youk is out and they are facing the Tigers ace.

Kotchman is my pre-game MVP pick.

2-0 Tigers in the 7th...Clay has looked good. Minus a homer, that was ass-rocked...Sox don't look half-bad with the odd lineup
