Pats Report: Preseason Game 2 vs Bengals

The Patriots (1-0) look to stay undefeated in the preseason, following last week's victory over the Eagles in their opener, when they take on the Bengals tonight at Foxboro. Of course the top priorities do not truly include wins and losses in the preseason. There are still players to review, jobs to be won and the need to keep everyone healthy above all else. Players who may have a little something extra to prove this week include newcomers Joey Galloway, Derrick Burgess and Shawn Springs. Meanwhile the top performers from last week like Julien Edelman will attempt to prove that their solid first impression was no fluke. Carson Palmer (ankle) will not be playing for Cincinnati, nor will their #1 pick Andre Smith (unsigned). However Pats fans should get a chance to check out the receiver now officially known as Chad Ochocinco tonight at the Edge. Let's go Pats!

I'm interested to see if Laurence Maroney shows any improvement tonight. He was a major bust in my mind last week. As previously stated, if they choose to keep him performing like that and let Green-Ellis go I'd be disappointed.

Not quite ready to give up on Maroney yet though.

Not quite ready to give up on Maroney. Made a few nice plays tonight.

Also nice to have Welker back. Is it possible that we have already put too much pressure on Edelman after his first PS game? I think he might be doomed to eventually fail.
