The Red Sox (58-42) finish up their 4-game series with the A's (43-57) tonight at Fenway. The series starting off promisingly for Boston with a victory on Monday, but back to back losses have the Sox slightly reeling. They dropped Tuesday's game by falling apart late, then came back Wednesday and lost due to a slow start. They're hoping Jon Lester (9-7, 3.79 ERA) can help them earn a series split tonight. JTL has been awesome of late, going 6-2 with a 1.83 ERA over his past 10 starts. He'll be opposed by Oakland's Gio Gonzalez (2-2, 7.75 ERA). Let's go Red Sox!

Glad we have a pitcher going who has 0% chance of being traded. No need to give anyone additional worry when trying to earn a win.
I feel like there's been a lot of talk about our bad hitting...but our pitching has been horrendous. Lester hopefully will be Beckett tonight...with more strikeouts (he's on my fantasy team.)
Sox up 1-0 heading to the bottom of the 3rd.
A's score 4 in the 6th to take a 4-1 lead. Yikes!
4-3 A's heading to the 7th.
MDC in to pitch for Boston.
6-5 Sox heading to the 8th.
I have no idea what's happening other than the score...but nice comeback.
