Ladder Challenge: Nelson vs Wakefield

In last week's Ladder Challenge it was Larry Bird defeating Tom Brady with 67% of the vote to keep his #3 spot on the Ladder. This week Tim Wakefield tries to make his way onto the Ladder by taking on 5-time NBA champion Don Nelson (#97). Although a loss would make Nelson the only Celtics with his number retired not on the Ladder, I have to go with Wakefield this week. I think Nellie does belong on the Ladder, but Wake simply deserves to be higher. So who has your support in this week's Ladder Challenge? (and remember, most votes in the comments section is the tie-breaker, so be sure to voice your opinion!)

Both were role players on multiple championship teams. What gives wake the edge for me is that in the overall picture of the Sox franchise he ranks higher (sorry if that seems unfair) and is more relevant at the moment (again, sorry if that seems unfair).

Bottom line...I remember Tim Wakefield being a good guy that helps the Sox try to win championships and I remember Don Nelson seeming like kind of a jerk that coaches teams in other cities.

This is the first vote where there is clearly an age bias on my part. Sorry Nellie.

Wake all the way for me on this one. He's deserved to be on here for a long time.

I am voting for Wakefield based on the fact that they named a Massachusetts town after him.

Okay the voting is 5-0 in here, and yet it's 1-1 in the actual voting.

Don't forget to vote!!! The votes in here only act as a tie-breaker.
