The Red Sox (14-7) try to keep the momentum from last night's exciting 6-5 10-inning win over the Indians alive when they travel to Tampa tonight to take on the Rays (8-14). Will Jonathan Van Every be a hero on consecutive nights for Boston or will another source (Jacoby Ellsbury?) step up big tonight? The Sox send Josh Beckett (2-1, 6.00 ERA) to the mound, who was dominant in the season opener against Tampa (7 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 10 K) but was battered around his his last outing. Tampa counters with Matt Garza (1-2, 4.97 ERA) who picked up the victory in Game 3 of the season opening series with the Sox (7 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 5 K) but has not won in 3 starts since. Boston can't give the basement dwelling Rays (4-11 in their last 15 games) anything to feel good about in this series. Let's go Sox!

Ellsbury is the Sox best hitter against Garza (7-16).
Also, I didn't give enough credit to his stealing home against the Yanks last weekend. Amazing!
If he has a big night/series the Sox will be in good shape.
This game is obviously taking a back seat to the C's tonight...but I'll be checking in during ads and at halftime (and after the C's finish).
No score after the 1st.
Is that Dave Campbell as the color voice tonight instead of Remy?
Ugh. Longoria bases clearing 1 out double
3-0
Beckett gives up another 4-0....Hunter Jones up
Becket has 6 Ks....4 runs...2 and 2/3 innings.....weird
Garza perfect game through 4.
Sox down 6-0.
Beckett getting his butt whooped.
The Rays just own him.
Not good.
I say old Chap, mighty fine show by the young lad Garza.
Yeah Right
I hope that Gopher from Caddyshack tunnels his way to the Trop and Garza twists his ankle in a Gopher hole
On the Mound
Garza perfect after 6
Buck Martimez should be banned from calling any more sox games
right...that is Buck Martinez for the Sox...AWFUL
Just bunt down 3rd with 2 strikes els
PERFECT GAME IS GONE!
Ellsbury with a pretty cheap infield hit to break up everything to lead off the 7th.
Buck Martinez is making me appreciate Remy...he's tough to listen to.
Or do that
For the record I have seen ONE at bat this entire game....a single.
With me watching: 1-1
With me not watching: 0-18
good luck with the Stars, DK
Van Every pitched and Javier Lopez played RF!
Final 13-0
Yes, 3 stars is pretty tough considering they lost 13-0 and were 1-hit.....
1.Ellsbury (only hit)
2.Saito (scoreless inning)
3.Van Every (just for pitching)
