The Celtics (56-19) play host to the Bobcats (34-40) tonight at the Garden, with the game having significance for both teams involved. While Boston is battling Orlando for a #2 playoff seed (C's are currently 1 loss back), Charlotte is attempting to make it's way into the playoffs for the first time in franchise history. The Bobcats are currently 1 game behind the Bulls for the 8th and final spot in the East. Tonight's game is the tie-breaker in the season series for these two teams. Boston won the first meeting by 5 in November, but Charlotte rebounded with a 114-106 win on January 6. KG is out once again for Boston, so Big Baby better continue his hot play if the the C's are going to add another W tonight. Let's go Celtics!

KG to miss at least the next 3 games (including this one). Definitely starting to get nervous/doubtful about his availability for the playoffs.
Not that anyone wants to think of it, but if we don't have KG how far can the Celtics go?
The Finals. I mean no one is going to beat us before the Conference Finals (knock on wood) & if we play very well, as we have for selected games without Garnett, there is no reason we can't get through that Series. We just need to string those games together.
*as you can gather from my statement I am still not sold on the Magic.
(a couple more years)
The C's are down 64-63 with 5 minutes left in the 3rd.
Pierce has 20 but nobody else is doing much of anything.
C's are getting whupped....85-73 with 7 minutes to go. Pierce has 28 and nobody else has more than 11. Not good.
Great game.
Charlotte always seems to have our number.
OT now.
C's up 1 in OT. 2:00 to play.
Jump Ball. 42.7 seconds to play in Overtime.
99 - 98
Bobcats retain the ball. They've had possession for over a minute.
Diaw hits a 3 off an inbound with 22.0 seconds left.
Bobcats up 101 - 99 now.
19.4 to play.
Rondo hits 3 to tie, my mistake on the previous score.
2nd OT.
Sorry, Rondo passed to Ray who hit the 3.
Offensive Foul on Perk.
"That's Bogus!" Tommy.
Foul called on Ray after Felton slips on the court during a drive.
First bucket of 2OT by Charlotte.
103 -101
Rondo drives, and ties!
Wallace (Charlotte) wastes no time striking back.
Rondo called for travel. (after it appears he slipped on the court, but didn't fall)
Ray with the steal on D.

Ray airballs.
Ray hits 3!!!!!
02.1 seconds left to play!
Celts lead by 2!!!
111 - 109
Final.
Raja Bell actually got a real nice look for the last shot. But missed!
Ray is clutch.
Got us into Overtime, and gets us out of it! [successfully]
my stars would have to be:
1)PIERCE
2)ALLEN
3)RONDO
(though I admittedly could be wrong as it didn't have my full attention the entire game)
What the hell happened? WOW! I just saw the highlights...starting doing stuff around the house because they were "obviously" not going to win this one. Show's what I know.
Solid recap Luke. Based on the stats I'll agree with your 3 (though Ray Allen was player of the game on TV for hitting that 3).
Yeah, he clearly was. You got me last time with Mikki Moore on stats though. Moore's case deservedly. So I played it safe with Pierce this time.
Eddie House killed it.
Perk a strong defensive presence.
Pierce had:
32 PTS, shot 50% from the field, 92% from the line, had 6 boards, 4 ASTs, 2 STLS, 2 BLKs and only 3 TOs.
Ray had:
22 PTS. 11 of which came in OT. The game tieing shot to get us into OT and the game winning shot to eek us out of OT. Along with that he had 4 boards, 2 ASTs, 3 STLs, and 1 TO. While shooting 40% from the field (including five 3s) and, 50% from the line.
Ray would not have been in the position to make either of those shots without Pierce's huge & efficient contributions. Ray started the game off slow but got on track and played well when it counted (to say the least!). All in all good game for the C's.
