B's Report: Game 78 vs Rangers

The Bruins (50-17-10, 110 points) can clinch the #1 seed in the East afternoon with a win over the Rangers (40-29-9, 89 points) at the Garden. Boston seems to be getting hot at the right time, having won 5 in a row as the playoffs approach. Forwards like Marc Savard, Milan Lucic and David Krejci have all been playing their best hockey since the season's first half recently. New York meanwhile is ranked #8 in the East at the moment, so this is definitely a possible playoff preview. The Rangers are just 2 points up on the Panthers however for the final playoff spot in the East, so some points today are important to them as well. Let's go Bruins!

Like to see a blowout win today just to make a statement in case we play them in the playoffs.

Did anyone see the Sean Avery incident? Hit Thomas on the back of the head while skating by. Be interesting to see if he gets suspended. At the very least it adds some heat to this match up if they do meet in the 1st Round.

Also...I love "Fan Appreciation Day" for the Bruins where fans are chosen at the end of the game and each player gives away their jersey. Good stuff.
