Providence Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask had a tough time last Friday night. The Baby B's lost 1-0 in a shootout to the Albany River Rats and then Rask completely lost it. Providence was leading the shootout 1-0 in the 5th round when back-to-back controversial goals cost them the win and set off Tuukka's tantrum. On the first goal the shooter lost control of the puck (which should have ended his attempt) but regained it and scored. On the second Rask thought the puck hit the crossbar, but Albany was awarded the goal and the win. Rask has played just one game for the Bruins this year, posting a shutout against the Rangers. He leads the AHL with 30 wins to go along with a 2.51 GAA.

The ProJo announced today that Rask was not being suspended. They did not know whether or not he was fined. The fact that he wasn't suspended seems to confirm that he had a legit beef on one if not both calls...but still surprising.
Big fan of Rask. I'd wished they put Manny Fernandez on the DL for the duration of the year and kept Rask on the roster. Of course that would have meant the Bruins would had to eat Fernandez's $5+ million salary, plus they wanted Rask to develop in the minors a little longer.

That first goal was total BS. Wow, was that bad reffing. I don't know about the second one, and I have trouble imagining how Rask could have seen it.
But he definitely had a right to be pissed after the first goal.
I like to see the fire, but he looked a bit like a spaz with the tantrum....got to work on something better.
I will be at the P-Bruins on Saturday night and I hope to see Rask in net.
Not quite as awesome as Alcantara kicking the catcher before charging the mound..But the kids got heart. Surprised no suspension came of the incident, if he had been in the NHL he would have been suspended.
i agree that alcantra might be a better freak out but this might be my new #1 for hockey
