First off, congratulations to the winner of our last contest, Ruben Lipszyc. He correctly answered that the second most common surname among living Red Sox (behind Smith) is Pena, with six (Alejandro, Carlos, Jesus, Juan, Tony and Wily Mo). Now time for the latest RBSF Contest, brought to you once again by No R Lifestyle.....There are 99 players in major league history that have hit a home run in their first MLB at bat. Who among these 99 did it for the Red Sox, yet never hit another home run the rest of his career? Winner to be selected from correct submissions and will receive a free t-shirt from No R Lifestyle! (To be eligible you must be, or become, an "Official Real Boston Sports Fan" on realbostonsportsfans.com). Email your answers to: dk@realbostonsportsfans.com. The contest runs through Sunday, March 22.

Photo of former Red Sox Gary Gaetti. He has the record for most career home runs out of the 99 players to hit a HR in their first at bat. He hit 360.
Next on the list is Jermaine Dye (298) who just passed Will Clark (284) in 2008.
Also, congrats to Dan Sullivan, the only other person to correctly guess Pena. However Dan didn't become a RBSF and therefore was not eligible.
Okay, disabling comments so nobody helps out each other....good luck to all!
