Ladder Challenge: Russell vs Orr

In last week's Ladder Challenge it was Red Auerbach defeating Rocky Marciano with 59% of the vote to maintain his spot at #8. This week's LC features the first battle for the top spot ever as #1 and #2 collide. Will 11-time NBA Champion Bill Russell be able to maintain his place atop the Ladder? Or will the greatest defenseman in NHL history, Bobby Orr, become the new #1? My vote this week goes to Russell, his titles simply too tough for me to ignore. Who has your support in this week's Ladder Challenge?

Russell has more titles (11-2), more MVP Awards (5-2) and played his entire career in Boston.

I do not feel the need to bad mouth Orr even a little bit here in order to give my vote to Russell.

the greatest winner of all time vs. the greatest defenseman of all time. Gotta go Russell.

first off dk couldnt you have gotten a better pic of #4 than that? c'mon

how has nobody had anything to say about this? this is #1 vs #2?!?

my vote obviously goes to #4 bobby orr. i would vote for him over anyone. every highlight i have ever seen of him makes my jaw drop and i think a jaw dropper would be a great #1 for the ladder

maybe nobody is commenting because they are afraid to talk badly of whwoever they don't vote for?

Good call Luke...that looks better.

The Magic # for this week is 7 by the way. That means Pedroia is the guy that gets challenged....I extended the voting until tomorrow at 6 pm since I don't have time to post the challenge now. Looks like it will be Francona/Pedroia though.
