In this edition of Free Agent Friday we take a look at newly available wide receiver Terrell Owens, waived yesterday by the Dallas Cowboys. His reputation (well earned) for being a malcontent and a locker room cancer are well known, as is his considerable talent. Among receivers in NFL history TO ranks 2nd in touchdowns, 5th in receiving yards and 6th in receptions. Although he's had problems everywhere he's been, those problems have never been in year one in his new home. If Owens was willing to take a one-year deal to come to New England (at a reasonable cost) the Pats would be able to send Moss, TO and Welker out for passes from Tom Brady. How would anyone stop that? People said lots of negative things about guys Corey Dillon and Randy Moss before they came to, and succeded in, New England. Why would TO be any different? I'm not saying it will happen...but unlike many others, I don't think it's a bad idea.

ESPN is reporting the only teams they found that were interested were the Raiders and 49ers...but they admittedly did not contact teams that they thought would have no interest because of their current wide receivers, like Arizona and the Pats....so there is no official word from New England that there is no interest on their end.
TO is still very talented, but I don't think he'd buy into Belicheck's way of doing things. He's just too selfish and his agent is a bafoon.
There just aren't enough passes to satisify Moss and TO on the same team.
John Clayton just reported that the Buffalo Bills have signed TO to a one year deal. Unbelievable, never would of thought the Bills would get the big name receiver. I wonder what TO will think of Trent Edwards......
Terrell Owens has agreed to a one-year, $6.5 million deal with the Bills, NFL.com's Vic Carucci reports.
That is way more money than I was willing to give him if I was the Pats. Should be interesting.
1-i would have liked him for 1 year at under $2 million
2-glad we didnt sign him for what he got
3-i wish he wasn't in the afc east
I would've given him 1 year for under 3 Mill.
I don't know why the Bills spent so much but it should help them.
I never would've spent upwards of 6 Mill. on him.
