Celts Report: Game 65 vs Heat

The shorthanded Celtics (49-15) journey to Miami tonight to take on the Heat (34-29). Boston is bringing only 10 players on the trip; KG, Rondo, TA, Big Baby and Scal are all out of action with various injuries. The Celtics won the first meeting between these two 98-83, but needless to say the C's had a few more players available for action that night. Will Ray Allen be able to continue his hot play and help Boston overcome the absences of so many of his teammates (not to mention D-Wade)? We'll find out tonight. Let's go Celtics!

Really disappointed in Perk. They are super shorthanded and he picks up 2 fouls in under 3 minutes.

Apparently defense isn't a high priority for either team: 32-31 Celtics at the 1st.

Ray & Leon (13 each) have 26 of the C's 31 points on a combined 10-11 shooting.

Leon also has 8 rebounds....13 points and 8 rebounds, not too shabby after one quarter.

I know I've mentioned it before, but the fact that the Heat have 2 retired numbers and neither played for the Heat: Michael Jordan and Dan Marino.

76-69 Heat with 3 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. They have 16 points in the 3rd...yikes!

Ray Allen is 10-15 FG, 5-6 3FG, 2-2 FT for 27 points....single-handedly keeping the C's in this.

D.Wade has 24 points....15 FT attempts already.

C's made a good run in the 4th but Miami ended up pulling away at the end.

Final score: Miami 107-99

CELTICS 3 STARS

1-Ray Allen
2-Leon Powe
3-Eddie House

Honorable Mention: Kendrick Perkins

Paul Pierce takes only 10 shots? That makes no sense.

I am in Long Beach - so unrelated to Celts:

They love saying towns far away from the actual location when announcing Lakers games...

a) Kobe....from Lubbok!

b) Kobe....from Galvesoton!

(they were playing Houston)

....I hate LA

I read that there were 18 total fouls after the first quarter. Ridiculous

Are you sure that retired heat jersey wasn't "Baby Jordan" - Harold Minor?
