In the last edition of the Nickname Game it was determined that Kendrick Perkins (aka Perk, The Beast, Hulk, The Enforcer, KP43, K-Perk) needed to keep all of his nicknames instead of settling on just one. This week we'll try to narrow it down a bit more as we attempt to find a nickname for Jed Lowrie of the Red Sox. Last season as a rookie Lowrie helped the Sox advance to the ALCS when he hit .258 with 25 doubles and 46 RBI in just 81 games. He also played near-flawless defense, making no errors in 155 chances at shortstop and just 2 errors in 75 chances at third base. His reward? A spot on the 2009 opening day roster and an RBSF nickname! Give your suggestions here and next week we'll vote on the best options.
