Ladder Challenge: The Rocket vs The Truth

In last week's Ladder Challenge it was Red Sox great Jim Rice edging Bruins tough guy Terry O'Reilly to move up two spots and take over #37 on the RBSF Ladder. This week Roger Clemens (#26), the Sox all-time wins leader, attempts to hold off the challenge of reigning NBA Finals MVP Paul Pierce (27). My vote this week goes to The Truth...who has your support in this week's Ladder Challenge?

Pierce has one more title, 2 more All Star appearances and has played his entire career in Boston.

I don't hold the steroid issue against him TOO much because it started (it seems) after he left Boston...but it does affect his likability. Of course playing for the Yankees certainly didn't help any.

I vote Pierce, but I think it's closer than the final vote may end up.

Clemens. Roids.

I vote Pierce. Has a championship that he was the finals MVP in.

I'm sticking by my Pierce vote, but there is no denying that those Clemens numbers, which I believe to be 'roid-free, are pretty darn impressive.

i know im in the minority but after looking at those stats i have to vote for clemens. he may be a total a-hole and a cheat after he left but he was sick when he was here. if they had won in 86 like they should have he would have a statue outside fenway

I don't disagree Bob, but look how high The Truth is in so many categories for the greatest franchise in NBA history. Not to mention he is the reigning Finals MVP and has one more ring that Clemens. It's easy to say "if" but we need to deal in reality.

Clemens was a monster no question about that. But he played for 2 other teams in the AL East after leaving Boston..And 1 was the F'n Yankees, I loved Clemens in Boston and hated when he went to NY.

Rockets can only get you so far, but the Truth will set you free..
