The Celtics (42-11) attempt to shake off Sunday's loss to the Spurs when they head to New Orleans tonight to take on the Hornets (30-19). The teams met once this season, on December 12, with Boston prevailing 92-84 at the Garden. The NBA's assist leader Chris Paul (10.9 per game) leads a New Orleans offense that also showcases All Star David West (19.6 ppg). CP3 is also averaging a team-leading 21.5 points and 2.78 steals, meaning Rajon Rondo will certainly have his hands full tonight. With the Celts having dropped two-straight at home for the first time in two years, here's hoping the road treats them a bit kinder this evening. Let's go Celtics!

Paul Pierce was dominant when he wanted to be in the first meeting and that was the difference in the game. Hopefully we see that for a full game, not just a half, out of The Truth tonight and this one wont be nearly as close.
CP3 is a game time decision I think - Mo Peterson and Tyson Chandler definitely out. We need this!
Celtics pregame is reporting no CP for tonight. Not sure if that's final, but they think it is.
Scratch that. CP3 is playing.
You guys see the C's record this year after 2 days rest? 11-0 with ave. margin of victory 16 pts!
If Chandler is out - we have to go to Perk early and often...but especially early. He has had a streak of very average games and we need the big Hulk back!
everyone looks cold tonight
Not Pierce, he's gonna have a big night
tech on Chris Paul (2nd foul). Curious if refs start kissing his ass
note: offensive foul on Rondo next time Celts had ball. NBA is so predictable when it comes to star players using technical fouls
wow. Pierce came to play. TO THE HOLE!!!!
Mo Williams 29 points in the first half vs. Phoenix. Man is Nash a bad defender
See the end of the Ind/Clev game? two fouls on back to back allyoop plays under 1 second? Amazing
Holy Sean Marks...center for New Orleans. Looks like a 6-10 accountant just checked in. Wow.
I don't want to jinx myself...but...Peja Stojakovic is never on fire against us. Is he losing his touch or is our 3 point line d so good? He may have had one great game in the past - but I don't fear it when he has open jumpers like I do Hedo, Mo Williams, Roger Mason, Granger, and Derek Fisher.
Antonio Daniels kills us for some reason.
Peja just looks really old
Paul gets so many calls, Baby needs to stop looking for contact and go straight up even if he gets blocked, stop being fancy and dunk the f@#king ball.
Love the defensive effort in late 2nd Q
Our turnovers are SO PREVENTABLE. Rondo needs to go to the rack strong.
Ray Allen has ONE POINT! Hilarious. 2 mins left in half
Rondo looks terrible. Atrocious turnovers.
Perk posting up - good. Love it.
NBA players are so dramatic about getting hit near or on the eye. They hold their eyes for so long. I am convinced that 90% are fake in order to get a call, get a breather, and get attention.
Rondo: 2 points, 2 boards, 4 assists, 4 turovers, 3 fouls in 18 minutes
I hate being tough on him - but these types of performances are inexcusable for him. He is the key to everything. When he plays poorly our offense is so out of sync. I know he'll turn it around in the 2nd half.
Celts down 44-42 at the half. We look boring.
KEEP FEEDING PIERCE!!!!
The Hornets have not even come close to stopping him in about 3 years. Why go away from it?
Also, if the C's are going to settle for a half court offense I honestly don't know if having Rondo in the game is helpful.
darnit. Ray Allen hurt - hyper extended finger
Rondo came to play in the 3rd! Love it.
Pierce just got raped by Peja - no call.
New Orleans (Peja) plays such bad baseline defense. I barely played any organized bball - but that was the one thing I remember...never let your guy go baseline
KG 4th foul. Cunt. Pruitt's fault
Duke/UNC on ESPN - amazing game. Duke made a huge run
(minus Dick Vitale's commentary. Just called someone Baryshnikov)
good game. Doc got a tech. Refs are not calling anything on the Hornets.
Rondo just bricked 2 free throws so badly that my house shook
Pierce is the only Celtic playing on offense tonight
Celts take a 10 point lead. great ball movement, control, and Eddie House!
EDDIE ANOTHER 3!!!!
Boston bench outscored itself from the 2nd half to the first half: 23-4
Up 10. Rondo another turnover. CP3 turnover. Posey covering KG. Eddie House turnover. Not fun. Still up 10.
To clarify: David West's game is not an inside game. He is totally perimeter and mid range. Kind of softer than I expected.
Hornets are unimpressive.
only the Hornets' 11th sellout of the season. Pathetic.
Great win. Superb 4th quarter. Outscored them 25-13 in 4th.
Sparks
1) Pierce
2) Eddie House
3) Leon Powe
So Mo Williams does end up making the All-Star team by replacing Ray Allen's replacement spot?
Alas, Williams is in for Chris Bosh.
