B's Report: Game 53 vs Senators

The Bruins (38-8-6, 82 points) head north of the border tonight to take on Northeast Division rival Ottawa (17-25-7, 41 points). These teams last met nearly a month ago, January 8, with the B's prevailing 6-4 in Boston. Despite the Sens less-than-stellar record, they do have a winning home record this season (11-8-5) so don't expect them to roll over and play dead just because the conference leaders are coming to town. It also gives Boston captain Zdeno Chara a chance to show his former team what a mistake they made by letting him sign with the B's. Let's go Bruins!

How are the Senators so bad? Just a year ago it seemed like they were ready to become the Red Wings of the East in terms of perennial contenders....now they are a joke despite having 3 of the league's best forwards. Amazing.

B's went up 2-0, then down 3-2, then tied it 3-3 on a Kobasew goal with 4:02 to go in the game.

No scoring in OT and the B's win it on the 5th round of the shootout 1-0 on a P.J. Axelsson goal.

Nice win!
