B's Report: Game 52 vs Flyers

The Bruins (37-8-6) continue their tough post-break schedule tonight as they head to Philadelphia to battle the Flyers (26-14-9, 61 points). This is the first of two games between these two this week. Philly's offensive attack is paced by All Star Jeff Carter; his 32 goals are second in the NHL to only Alex Ovechkin. The Broad Street Bullies have their usual cast of agitators with both Riley Cote and Arron Asham among the league's top ten in both penalty minutes and fighting majors. Fortunately Shawn Thornton, Zdeno Chara and the Luc Ness Monster are not going to let the B's get pushed around by anyone. Let's go Bruins!

Interesting 2 games coming up against the Flyers this week...Flyers were my pick at the beginning of the year to win the Stanley Cup...They have a lot of skill players and play a bruising style similar to that of the B's...Be nice to take 3 out of 4 points.

Agreed, 3 of 4 would be a good "series" with Philly.

Tonight they'd be happy to get a point if they keep playing like this. They look really sluggish in the 1st...being outshot 10-6 with 6 minutes left.

From the time I wrote that last comment until the end of the game it was near-domination from the B's'.

Tied 1-1 after the 2nd and then....

BRUINS WIN 3-1!!!!

Sorry to leave TT the Bear out of the Top 3, but he faced only 25 shots, the first 2 were no-brainers in my opinion and I thought Ryder deserved from acknowledgment for breaking the ice with the game's first goal.
