The Bruins (29-5-4, 62 points) host the Sabres (18-15-5, 41 points) this afternoon at the Garden. To give you some idea of how dominant the Bruins have been this season, the second-best goal differential in the Eastern Conference is +18 (New Jersey). Boston's goal differential this season? Try +57! Also, the B's goaltending duo of T.T. the Bear and Manny Fernandez were just named co-NHL Players of the Month for December. Hopefully their hot play, and that of the entire team, will continue deep into 2009 as well. Let's go Bruins!

B's down 4-2 with 2 minutes to play in the 2nd period. They team, specifically TT the Bear, not looking particularly sharp today.
Buffalo's Matt Ellis has 2 goals...he had 1 coming into the game.
I'm not saying PJ Axelsson is a bad player or doesn't have value on a team, but I still hate him on the 1st line and/or power play. I've never heard them say "almost" about a guys scoring chances for a guy that never, ever scores. He's just not a 1st line guy. Period.
Buffalo just got the 2nd penalty of the game for too many men on the ice. That is just bad coaching.
End of 2nd...4-2 Buffalo. Bruins will start the 3rd with 1:10 of power play time.
B's go down 4-2....just never quite sharp all day.
3 Stars:
1 - Kessel
2 - Thornton
3 - Savard
worst i have seen them look all year and of course it was the game i go to
flat is the best word. but they had won 10 in a row so i guess we have to expect to lose once in a while
that goal differential stat is insane by the way
