Celts Report: Game 23 vs Wizards

Tonight the Eastern Conference’s best team, the Celtics (20-2), heads to Washington to take on the Eastern Conference’s worst team, the Wizards (4-15). Boston has ignored talk that this year’s squad would not be nearly as good as last year’s. The key has been continued excellence from Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen returning to superstar level, Rajon Rondo becoming one of the East’s top point guards, and improved play from the likes of Kendrick Perkins, Tony Allen and Leon Powe. The Wiz meanwhile have been without All Star guard Gilbert Arenas all year, and All Stars Caron Butler (22.5 points, 6.7 rebounds, 4.4 assists) and Antawn Jamison (20.2 points, 9.6 rebounds) have gotten little to no help from their “supporting” cast. Only Nick Young (11.3) also averages better than 9 points per game. Yesterday Washington traded Antonio Daniels and got back ex-Celtic Mike James and Javaris Crittenton…but it’s doubtful the deal is in time to provide any help for tonight’s visitors. Let’s go Celtics!

As you may have noticed the site was down for 2 days (due to reasons I still haven't entirely figured out but did get somebody to fix) so this post was up a day early, a day late, but not on the actual day of the game. Oh well....fortunately it was a blowout.

Final score: Celtics 122-88
